Preparing For Class

Eat something small and light no less than an hour or two before class.  Be sure to stay hydrated. Wear comfortable clothing.  Moisture wicking fabric is a good option for heated classes. Come with an open mind. There is no competition, no judgement or comparison to others.  Your yoga practice is your yoga practice.  Focus on your experience and being present in your own body.

Educate yourself on our class offerings.  Take some time to read the descriptions and see which class may be right for you.  When you decide on a class, give yourself enough time to find parking, check in and settle on your mat before class begins. We have parking spot information on our contact page. Try to arrive 15 minutes before the class is scheduled to begin.

If you forget your mat, or don’t have one, no problem. We do rent yoga mats for $3. Mats are limited.

Yoga Room Etiquette

Be on time, as class starts on time.  We lock the front door at the start of every class for the safety of clients and staff in the evenings, so please be sure to arrive in a timely manner so you do not get locked out. No late admittance is allowed at any time of the day, as this disturbs the instructor and students.

No shoes on the padded yoga floor.  A secure space is provided for all of your personal belongings. Please ensure that your cell phone is off, silent or on airplane mode. No cell phones allowed in the yoga space or mat.

When unrolling your mat we ask that you practice Mouna, the art of silence. Quiet time gives all a moment to arrive on their terms. You may chat with friends in any of our common areas. Many of our clients come early to settle on their mats before practice begins, so please be mindful of others.

Be sure to use the restroom before class!  If you need to leave the room, please do so quietly to minimize distraction.

If you experience dizziness or lightheadedness during practice, we ask that you go into child’s pose or resting pose on your mat.

There is a $5 No-Show or Late Cancel Fee. We understand how life can make some shifts in schedules, we ask that you take yourself out of class or call us to let us know you will not make it, as each room has limited space.
